David Marquis

Since he joined Capital Strength in 2017, David has been called many names: Chief, Best Barbell Loader, and occasionally David. More of a janitor than a coach, you’re likely to find him restocking the toilet roll or separating out the ReTurn cans.

Along with competing at a high level in the sport and being a favoured competition coach of many of Capital Strength’s athletes, David is one of a very small number of Weightlifting Ireland Technical Officials to attain the IWF Category 2 international Referee qualification.
